Into the Sensuous
Into the Sensuous is a 5 week immersion into embodied connection and liberated movement. Through a blend of somatic movement practices and contemporary dance techniques we’ll explore sensing, feeling and moving with devoted connection to our intuitive sensuous bodies and the wisdom they hold.
To be sensuous is to be alive; is to be deeply connected to the alive-ness of your inner landscape, and our more than human kin. It’s to indulge in the senses as a language with the world. To presence ourselves within the felt senses.
How does it feel in your waters, your heart, your soft organs? How does the animal of your body speak to you, love you. move you? What knowings can be felt when you offer your presence to all that’s alive within?
This course is oriented towards moving from the inside out, staying deeply connected to our body while building our capacity to be seen and in relationship with life. As each week deepens into the practices, our attention will be towards:
remembering from a felt sense the origins of our embodiment
feeling our body as an extension of the Earth’s body
moving at the pace of your body
deepening connection to our inner felt senses and knowing
liberating movement from the inside out
staying deeply connected to ourselves while moving together

1:1 Somatic Care Sessions
Private somatic care sessions for individuals.
These 75 min sessions are for those wanting individualised care tailored for what is currently alive & moving in you.
Sessions may involve somatic practices to bring you into deeper connection with your body, your ancestors, your senses and your inner knowing.
Somatics is a way of feeling and being with what arises from our bodies. We are guided by the pace of trust, and what emerges from your body. Slowly and gently, we befriend our body and inner world, and create more capacity for ease, pleasure, and new possibilities in how we be with and move through the world.
Modalities that may be drawn upon in these sessions include somatic expressive therapies, movement, breath & nervous system regulation tools, yoga nidra, drawing and journaling.
